Last week I took my first ever painting class on Ocracoke Island with Mary Bassell. Mary is a wonderful artist and a very patient teacher.

She gives morning classes in her studio using pastels, and you actually come home with a painting.

LOL! I does NOT look like a deflated rubber raft... I tried to "zoom" in as best I could and I think you should do more. I like to work with chalk, ink and colored pencils and I find it quite relaxing to draw...
