Worm Moon of March...
Tonight's full moon promises to be spectacular as always. Here are a few facts to help you enjoy it even more!
The March full moon has several names: Crow Moon, Sap Moon, Worm Moon, and Lenten Moon. You can imagine which each one means. I think in Northern Indiana this year we would be happy to be the Sap Moon as I understand from my friends who tap, we are a bit behind. As for the worm moon, the ground is still covered in masses of snow so I doubt we will see many worms.
It is also the furthest away so it will appear to be the smallest full moon of the year, 2015.
I am in Arizona and I will watch the full moon rise with my two darlings, Holly and Brianna. We will sit outside singing our moon songs while we wait for the beauty to erupt from the Eastern skies.
Where will you watch the moon appear?
The photo was taken by Bruce Fingerhood for EarthSky.org.
Enjoy.

I'll have to close my eyes and imagine it... Snowy all day and I expect the clouds won't clear until the morning. :-)
Glad it cleared up for you!
